College & Careers Initiative
Every Participant Has Access to College
Unlike any other after-school program, New Heights' College & Careers After-School Program works diligently to ensure that every one who wants to go to college has the means and opportunity to do so. Our activities are focused on academic enrichment, personal development, and employment skill development.
Eliminating hunger as a barrier to learning
With so many children living below the poverty line, it has become increasingly critical that youth receive high quality meals while they are in school and participating in after-school programs. With our nutrition initiative, we prepare fresh meals daily and distribute them to at-risk after-school programs, summer camps, church youth groups, and other areas where youth congregate on a regular basis.
For as little as $5, you can provide a free meal to a child in an at-risk afterschool progrm.
Putting Youth to Work
At New Heights Community Resource Center, we strive to teach youth that they are powerful beyond measure. Not only are they equipped to obtain gainful employment, but they are equipped to create jobs for themselves and others. Learn more about our Y.E.S.S. Initiative and get involved!
Annual Summer Enrichment Initiative:
Youth ages 3-15 years participate in an 8 -10-week camp that combines academic support, life skills, character education, information technology, career development, social action, and field experiences to deliver an explosive learning experience that is packed with fun and memorable moments.
